Weather : Temperature Continues to rise in Rajasthan State

Jaipur : Due to cold weather after swing cold wave in last few days now Mercury continued to rise in parts of Rajasthan with Churu district in north recording the lowest temperature of 8.3 degrees Celsius, the MeT department said today. In Sriganganagar, the night temperature was recorded at 8.6 degrees Celsius, an official said.

Attributing the climatic change to the active northerly winds, the Jaipur met office said that mercury will further take an upward swing across the state.

The minimum temperature recorded in the state capital Jaipur was 11.8 degrees, while Pilani, Dabok and Barmer recorded a minimum of 8.7, 11.2 and 12 degrees Celsius respectively.

Jaipurities woke up to a comparatively warmer morning on Friday as a minimum temperature of 10 degrees was recorded in the city. It was followed by sunny afternoon as a maximum temperature of 23.5 degrees accompanied with a humidity of 90% was reported. Since no fog and mist was reported in the city, the air traffic was smooth from the Jaipur airport.

However, in some parts of the state fog was reported due to which the traffic on the highways connecting Sikar-Churu, Bharatpur to Agra and Ajmer-Jodhpur was affected. At least 3 early morning trains coming from other states to the city also arrived late due to the poor visibility.

Sunny days and rising temperatures has also brought smiles on the faces of the farmers as earlier they were worried with the fog and mist in the morning.

The weather department has predicted further rise in temperatures across parts of the state during next 24 hours.
