Swine Flu claims 10 deaths in Haryana and four in Punjab

Chandigarh : At least Ten deaths have taken place in Haryana due to swine flu in the present winter season and sixty five constructive instances have been reported throughout the state, a senior official stated right here on Thursday. While four have died in neighbouring Punjab, health officials said here Thursday.

“In Haryana, there have been sixty five constructive instances of swine flu and ten casualties have been reported thus far,” Health Additional Chief Secretary Ram Niwas stated right here. He stated the division has made sufficient preparations for the remedy of sufferers affected by swine flu.

Adequate inventory of Tamiflu has been made out there, ventilators offered and isolation wards arrange in all hospitals of the state, he stated. Necessary directions have been issued to the civil surgeons to take all precautionary measures to verify the unfold of this virus in addition to deal with the swine flu instances in the state, he stated.

The official stated that each one civil surgeons have been directed to name a gathering with Indian Medical Association in their districts and report day by day to the State Surveillance Unit and instruct personal hospitals to strictly comply with the rules relating to swine flu.

While, Punjab Health Minister Surjit Kumar Jayani said that 17 confirmed cases of swine flu have been reported in the state and four people have died due to the disease.
