Symphony Limited reported a 45% rise in net profit

January : World’s largest air cooler company, Symphony Limited, reported a 45% rise in net profit at Rs. 36.02 crore for the second quarter ended December 2014 as against Rs. 24.79 crore in the corresponding quarter of previous fiscal 2013-14. Net sales for Q2 of FY 2014-15 at Rs. 151.41 crore were higher by 31% over previous fiscal’s same quarter net sales of Rs. 115.22 crore. 

EBITDA margin for Q2 FY 2014-15 stood at 34% and EPS was at Rs. 10.30. The Company has declared interim dividend of Rs. 4 per share (200% on the face value of Rs. 2 per share). For the six months ended December 2014, the company reported a net profit of Rs. 57.65 crore against a net profit of Rs. 39.11 crore in the previous financial year’s first half, a 47% growth. 

Net sales in first half of FY 2014-15 at Rs. 254.12 crore were higher by 36% compared to Rs. 187.30 crore in the first half of previous fiscal. EBITDA margin for H1 FY 2014-15 stood at 31% and EPS was at Rs. 16.48.

Commenting on the financial performance of the company, Nrupesh Shah, Executive Director of Symphony Ltd, said, “There have been all around healthy growth across the segments by maintaining healthy profitability. This has also led to increase in interim dividend from 100% to 200%”.
