Jaipur : Rajasthan Government has cancelled mutation of a part of land purchased by Son-in-law of Sonia Gandhi Robert Vadra's company Skylight Hospitality Private Limited in Bikaner district on the grounds that it was bought from fake buyers.

Skylite Hospitality had purchased the land in Gajner and Goylari villages in Koyalat tehsil of Bikaner district in January 2010. Confirming the cancellation of the deal, a senior official said that an enquiry was on.

According to the Collector of Bikaner district, Arati Dogra, the sub-divisional officer of Kolayat had cancelled the mutation of the disputed land belonging to the Goyalari, Gajner, Indo Ka Bala and Madh villages on October 31,2014.

Mutation means transfer or change of title in the records of the local municipal body for the property concerned.

The dubious deals relate to 360 hectares of land belonging to farmers. The government has now declared the land as ‘sivay chak’ (state land).

Earlier, part of this land belonged to Vadra’s company which has over 600 hectares of land in Bikaner’s Kolayat tehsil. It has disposed part of this land at high premium.

The land in question was initially allotted by the state government to farmers who were displaced from the Mahajan firing range in Bikaner district. But a large number of allottees got their land deals done by using forged documents.
