Jaipur Literature Festival-2015 to begin on Jan 21, CM Vasundhara Raje will inaugurate
Jaipur : Eighth edition of The Jaipur Literature Festival a mega annual gathering of litterateurs, will begin here on January 21. Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje will inaugurate the five-day long festival at the historic Diggi Palace.
"The rich heritage of Rajasthan is set to come alive next week as the ZEE-Jaipur Literature Festival will showcase the colour and culture of its home state to over two lakh expected visitors," a statement by the organisers said.
The festival is free and open to all and attracts visitors from all four corners of the global, it added. Rajasthan musicians Nathoo Solanki, Chugge Kahn and 'Jaisalmer Boys' will open the festival with presentation of their traditional music. The annual event has been held at the Diggi Palace since it was founded in 2006.
JLF, which began in 2006, is now regarded as a cultural catalyst within India and around the world, exposing audiences to a constant flow of ideas. Featuring live music sessions and interactive workshops, the Festival provides a space to dare, dream and imagine.
