Deliveries of the Harley Davidson Street 750 will start in June

After debuting at the EICMA show in November last year, the Street 750 made its India premiere at the Auto Expo 2014. With a sticker price of Rs 4.1 lakh (Ex-showroom, New Delhi), Harley Davidson hopes that the bike will become a runaway success in India.

Consecutively, Harley’s officials have revealed that India is just the third region in the world – after USA and Europe – to get the all-new bike.

The Street 750 is built on a whole new platform that Harley has developed for the first time in 14 years. It also carries a new liquid-cooled Revolution X V-Twin 749cc engine with a single overhead cam. Mated to a 6-speed gearbox, the Street 750 gets a peak torque figure of 60 Nm at 4,000 rpm.

The bike is built in Harley’s manufacturing facility in Bawal, Haryana and is only one of the two locations, the other being Kansas City in the USA, to make the bike. The Indian plant will export the motorcycle to at least 20 markets across the world to begin with. The Street 750 comes with an unlimited 24 months warranty.
