DOT organizes skill development training for 'Hathi Mahawats'
Jaipur : The Department of Tourism (DOT), Government of Rajasthan organized a skill development training of 60 ‘Hathi Mahawats’ in elephant village, which very well known as ‘Hathi Gaon’, Kunda Amer today.
During the training, the Hathi Mahawats were briefed about good behaviour, maintaining cleanliness of oneself as well as environment, good health and providing good services to win the hearts of tourists.
They were also informed about the upkeep and maintaining good health of elephants A cleanliness drive in elephant village was undertaken under the Prime Minister’s Swachha Bharat Mission.
Joint Director, DOT, G.S. Gangwal; the Managing Director of Forts and Palaces, Bahadur Singh Rajawat; Secretary, Elephant Owners' Society, Rashid Khan; Travel Trade Expert and Veterinary Professor, Dr. Rajiv from Kerala and Assam Expert, Dr. Sarma were present on the occasion.
The training is being organized by RITTMAN and Human International Society Jaipur.
