Jaipur : Jaipur’s Apurvi Chandela is satisfied with her intense Olympic preparations for the 10 meter air rifle shooting. She is participating in most of the European competitions.

At Munich in the Monday’s concluded international Air Rifle and Air Pistol Shooting Championship, there were 100 women rifle shooters in senior category. In the competition Apurvi shot her career best 420.9 and almost touch the qualification world record of 422.

She finished first in the qualification round. In the final round Apurvi finished 4th by a narrow margin and missed out on a medal. She is, however, elated with her overall performance and preparations.

She leaves for Amsterdam on Wednesday and then to the Hague city where she will participate in the tri-series matches. After two-day competitions, she will be flying back to India to represent India in 10 meter air rifle shooting at the SAF games at Guwahati in Assam.

It is to be recalled that Apurvi Chandela has already qualified for the Rio Olympics this year in the category of 10 meter air rifle shooting for women. The city of Jaipur has high hopes of her clinching an Olympic medal later this year.
