Video : A ceiling fan falls on Lalu Yadav at a rally

Patna : A video has been gone viral, in which a a ceiling fan has been fall on Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief and former chief minister of Bihar, Lalu Prasad Yadav. The incident took place on Friday during an election rally at Lakaura in Motihari district of Bihar. Thankfully there was no asualty during the incident.

In the clipping which goes viral, Lalu is being seen sitting on a chair on stage, when the fan came off its hinges and plummeted. The fan brushed and fell on his right hand, narrowly missing his head.

Notably, The ex-CM of Bihar had reportedly complained about the rickety condition of the fan before the rally had begun. The entire incident happened while an announcement was being made for the electrician to fix the fan.

Prasad had arrived at the venue to address a public meeting and was sipping tea on the stage when the accident happened. The ceiling fan, hanging above him on his left, landed on his right hand, catching him completely off guard. The incident created a commotion as workers rushed to his aid.

Prasad suffered a minor injury, but remained unfazed and addressed the meeting. He, however, made it a point to haul up police officials and dubbed it as a security lapse.
