Governor visits Old Age Home Bhangrotu and Children Home Deher

Shimla : Governor of Himachal Pradesh, Acharya Devvrat visited the Old Age Home at Bhangrotu and Children Home at Deher in District Mandi today. He inspected the premises and interacted with the inmates of both the institutions. 

He directed the management to ensure cleanliness and providing quality diet to the residents. He said that environment in such institutions should be cordial and friendly for the well-being of old aged and proper growth of children.

In his address at Children Home, Deher, Acharya Devvrat urged the children to read biographies of great personalities for inspiration and added that most of the great personalities have faced tough challenges in their lives and have risen upto great heights only due to sincerity, devotion and hard work. 

He said that children should work hard and concentrate on studies during their student life and focus upon becoming successful in their careers.

He said that they should face the challenges posed by difficult situations in life with confidence which was the key to success. He said that they should not feel inferior to others because of their limitations but march ahead with pride. 

He said that in order to cultivate good habits and thoughts it was essential to keep good company and added that children should not stray away towards drugs etc. 

He said that they should inculcate discipline, sense of service, good conduct and behaviour for achieving success in life and contributing to society.

The Governor lauded the efforts of   Divya Manav Jyoti Sansthan which was making efforts to bring deprived children into mainstream. He announced Rs One lakh financial assistance for the welfare of the children.

A colourful cultural programme was also presented by the children on the occasion.

Dr Dinesh Vashishth President, Balh Valley Kalyan Sabha Bhangrotu and Satya Prakash Shrama, President Divya Manav Jyoti Anathalay Deher briefed the Governor about the activities of their respective institutions during the inspection.

Deputy Commisioner Sandeep Kadam and officers of district administration accompanied the Governor.
