Ten Killed in Himachal Road Accident
Shimla : Ten Passenger were killed and nine injured when a bus of Keylong depot of the Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) rolled down a hillside after it failed to negotiate a curve at Chalung nullah near Bairagarh in Churah subdivision of Chamba district of Himachal Pardesh on Thursday.
Chamba Deputy Commissioner M Sudha Devi said the bus was on its way to Killar from Chamba. She said eight passengers died on the spot.
Five injured were referred to regional hospital in Chamba while four were admitted to the civil hospital.
Seventeen passengers were travelling in the bus at the time of the mishap. DC Chamba Sudha Devi, Additional District Magistrate Shubh Karan Singh, district officials accompanied by HRTC staff and a team of doctors were on the spot to carry out relief and rescue operation.
