Jaipur's 'Bajrangi' to be seen in Salman Khan's 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan'
Jaipur : The ‘Dabangg’ star of B-town, Salman Khan’s much awaited movie “Bajrangi Bhaijaan” has been constantly in the buzz after its first poster release and Salman’s fans are also wholeheartedly waiting for this movie. Salman is playing the role of a devotee of Bajrang Bali (Lord Hanuman) in this movie who helps a little girl to get back to her home in Pakistan. Besides that, an actor from Jaipur is also playing an important role in this movie. This actor is Babu Bajrangi, a resident of Jhotwara aria in Jaipur.
Bajrangi has worked in many movies with many legendary actors. He was recently in Jaipur and talked to us about his movie career. Bajrangi says that, he never really liked studying and had always been into sports like cricket, football and kabaddi but after some time, his interest shifted to the wrestling and he started the practice and exercise in the arena on a daily basis.
He started to work out and exercise everyday and finally succeeded to win the Mr. India title in body building championship in 1986. He says that after building a great body and winning the Mr. India title, people around him insisted him to try in film line and after a while, he seriously started to think about it.
“One day, I suddenly came to know about Dharam Ji’s (Dharmendra) shooting in Samod palace near Jaipur for his movie “Elaan-e-jung”, so I reached there to meet him but his guards stopped me, however, I finally succeeded to meet him after trying for some time."
He further added, "I told him that I was a big fan of him and had watched many of his movies. During the conversation, Dharam ji complimented my body and asked to see my body. He was happy after seeing my fitness and body and asked Anil Sharma, the director of his movie, to give me a role in the movie and that was my first step in the movie world.”
He further tells, “After the role in Dharam Ji’s movie, I reached to Mumbai where I learned a lot of things from director Anil Sharma and then got various roles in many movies like Jigar, Divyashakti, Veer, Loha and Bol Bachchan etc.”
The 51-years-old Bajrangi still works out for 1 hour in morning and 1 hour in evening to stay fit. Bajrangi says that his role in “Bajrangi Bhaijaan” is of a wrestler who wrestles with Salman Khan in a Dangal.
He says that he really enjoyed working with Salman, however, this is not the first time that he has worked with Salman, we have seen him in movies like ‘Jaagruti’ and ‘Tumko na bhul payenge’ with Salman. Bajrangi Bhaijaan is going to be released on this Eid.
