After historic defeat in ODI series against Bangladesh, Team India captain MS Dhoni offered his resignation. Though, former India captain Mohammad Azharuddin feels otherwise.

After six wickets defeat in the second ODI on Sunday, Dhoni told in a post match conference that he would step down as captain if BCCI seeks his resignation.

In an interview Azharuddin said, “Time has come when Dhoni should quit captaincy.” He said that Dhoni should decide about quitting the captaincy rather than someone ask him to do so.

Azhar further said that team will get fresh energy with the appointment of new captain which is also a need of this hour.

On the other hand, cricket experts also feel that there is a long gap in Team India’s Zimbabwe tour. In such condition, Dhoni should quit so the new captain will get time to motivate the team.
