Jaipur’s son bags the bronze in 'Robo Games 2015' with the humanoid

Jaipur : The legend says that if you made a target for achieve anything that you want, then nothing is impossible in your way, but you need to do is keep your aim in mind and hard work to achieve your destination.

There are many students in India who have glorified the nation in foreign countries with their capabilities. One of these talented students is Sparsh Lata, a resident of Jaipur city in rajasthan, who made a humanoid (a robot with an appearance resembling a human) with his team and won the bronze medal in “Robo games 2015”.

Robo games 2015 held at San Mateo, California in US. Robo games is an event formerly known as Olympics of Robots where the best minds from all around the world are invited to compete in over 50 events.

Sparsh told about the event after coming back home from US. He said that he is a final year student of mechanical engineering in SRM University situated at Kattankulathur, Tamil Nadu. Sparsh always wanted to do something in robotics. He practiced personally with his team for over a year with the financial support provided by the university.

They prepared a humanoid which is operated by a computer program, they performed several experiments and practicals with this humanoid and after succeeding, applied to the “Robo games 2015”.

Sparsh said that he was nervous after reaching to the event centre but when their team got called for the presentation, he was focused on his presentation. The humanoid created by their team made the map of USA using its both hands which the jury praised and appreciated and they succeeded to win the bronze medal in ‘Free style – Original’ category. The Japanese team bagged the gold medal of this category.

A total of 730 engineers and 214 teams from 20 countries participated in these games who performed in various categories and it was a very aspiring experience for students looking forward to achieving big goals in the field of robotics.
