New Delhi : One of the finest actors of Bollywood Irrfan Khan who is very well known for his works predominantly in the film industry and also known for his works in British Indian films, Hollywood ventures, and a Telugu film. Irrfan, who has a special place in the hearts of his fans.

Irrfan is one of the best actors of this generation who doesn’t need to any introduction. His vivid and talented acting skills are a work of perfection with which he always leaves a big impression on the viewers.

Irrfan was born in a Muslim family of Jaipur, Rajasthan on January 7th of 1967 as Sahabzade Irrfan Ali Khan, credited as Irrfan Khan or simply Irrfan, his father belongs to the Khajuriya village of Tonk district of Rajasthan and his mother is also from Tonk. Irrfan has no godfathers in the film industry and has fought his way to make a name and fame in Bollywood with his talent.

Irrfan always succeeds to leave an impression on the viewers’ minds regardless of the length of his role. He is also as popular in Hollywood as he is in Bollywood. Irrfan started his acting career with the TV shows like 'Bharat ek khoj' and 'Chandrakanta' but his first step in Hindi film industry was with the movie “Salam Bombay”. “A mighty heart”, “Slumdog millionaire”, “The amazing Spiderman” and “The life of pi” are some of his Hollywood movies. Irrfan’s acting in ‘the life of pi’ was appreciated by the critics and the film was a super hit.

Irrfan was not very fond of studying in his school days but he was a big fan of cricket and used to practice at Chaugan stadium of Jaipur but in disapproval of his family towards making a career in cricket, he started to pay attention at his studies and completed his MA.

While studying, he got attracted towards acting and learned acting on a stage. Irrfan used to act with his friends on a stage. His passion towards acting kept increasing and finally, he took admission into the National school of Drama, Delhi. He thought that he could start his acting career after completing his course but unfortunately, it was not that easy but he learned some fine quality skills from the school.

Irrfan’s looks was not of a chocolaty hero but he never doubted his abilities and passion for acting. After completing his course, Irrfan reached to Mumbai where his real struggle started. He started acting in some TV serials and also played some characters which didn’t justify his talent but he didn’t give up and kept struggling.

Irrfan showed his finest acting skills in tv serials like Chanakya, Banegi apni baat, Bharat ek khoj and came into the limelight when everybody started talking about this skinny guy with big eyes.

One day he suddenly got a lead role in “The Warrior” from Asif Kapadia who lived in London. This historical movie was complete and released in 11 weeks of shooting and was shot in Rajasthan and Himachal Pradesh. This film gave him a new identity and made him popular in masses.

He was also praised for his acting in “Road to Laddakh” in 2004, the film is now being made into a full-length feature starring Khan. That same year he played the title role in the critically acclaimed Maqbool, an adaptation of Shakespeare's Macbeth, which was the movie which really changed the directions of his career and established him as a very talented actor. Irrfan’s career then took off and finally he landed in Hollywood.

Irrfan’s eyes play a big role in his acting. He sometimes expresses his character with only his eyes, without saying a single word, though he says that he doesn’t put any extra effort in it.
