didn't received any notice over Maggi noodles row : Amitabh Bachchan

Mumbai : The Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan on Wednesday opened his mouth about the issue of Maggi noodles row and said that, he haven't received any notice over the Maggi issue. He further add that, he has stopped doing advertisements for the product around two years ago.

Amitabh Bachchan said, "I had stopped endorsing Maggi two years ago. I have not received any notice till now. As soon as I get it, I shall put it up to my lawyers. We will fully cooperate." Among the Amitabh Bachchan, actress Madhuri Dixit and Preity Zinta have also been dragged for promoting the ‘two-minute’ noodles brand.

A case was lodged earlier against Nestle India by the UP food regulator FSDA in a local court at Barabanki in Uttar Pradesh over safety standards of its Maggi.

Union Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution Minister Ram Vilas Paswan has said that the government is framing new law to deal with Maggi-like cases.

Citing the case of Maggi noodles that contained high level of lead and monosodium glutamate (MSG), he said that stringent legal provision would be applied.
