Two people shot dead at busy market in Delhi's Shankar Road
New Delhi : Two people were were killed at a busy market in central Delhi's Shankar Road on Thursday morning. One of the victims was a witness in a court case and police suspects the involvement of soemeone related to that case.
According to police, the incident took place around 9:30 a.m. at Shankar Road in Rajender Nagar when the victims had come to have their morning tea.
The incident was reported from the Shankar road market where the two men Ram Charan and Lakhan Lal owned a small businessm.
Police said that three men carrying pistols walked into the market and fired 6-7 rounds at them and fled. Hearing the gunshots the traders rushed to the spot and found the two men lying in a pool of blood. A team from the Rajender Nagar police station also reached the spot within minutes.
Police said thar Ram Charan had died on the spot while Lakhan Lal was taken to the BL Kapoor Hospital nearby where he succumbed to his injuries.
