Jaipur : T-24 - An adult male tiger from Ranthambore Tiger Reserve, who killed a forest guard on May 8, on Saturday has been shifted to Sajjangarh Biological Park in Udaipur to provide him another territory.

T 24 has reportedly killed four persons, including forest guards, in the past. With an increasing problem of territorial fights in Ranthambore Tiger Reserve, the state government decided to shift out the big cat.

The tiger was moved to the Sajjangarh reserve by road in a canter. It will be kept in an enclosure in Sajjangarh for a few days to acclimatise before it is let out.

Officials said the decision to shift the tiger was taken after a committee was set up following an incident on May 8, when T 72 killed a forest guard.

Notable, On May 9, a team which visited the area where the tiger had killed 44-year-old forest guard Rampal Mali took at least an hour-and-a-half to reach the spot. Tiger T-24 was spotted loitering nearby and immediately, a conclusion was drawn that it had killed the guard.
