Narendra Modi has arrived in South Korea after Mongolia
Seoul : The Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi, who is on 3-nation tour and who flew in from Mongolia after his three-day visit to China, has arrived here on Monday, where he will hold talks with the South Korean leadership aiming to give a fillip to economic and trade cooperation.
Modi will bolster economic and diplomatic ties with South Korea, said India has had enough of the 'Look East' policy and that it is time for his government to 'Act East' now. The term 'Look East' was first coined by the Narasimha Rao government in the 1990s and has been followed by the successive governments.
"Immense enthusiasm as PM @narendramodi reaches South Korea," the Prime Minister's Office tweeted with a picture of Indian diaspora members greeting the prime minister.
"Indian community welcomes PM @narendramodi to South Korea," the PMO tweeted. "Annyeonghaseyo to the land of the morning calm! PM @narendramodi arrives in Seoul," external affairs ministry spokesperson Vikas Swarup tweeted.
The Prime Minister will hold talks on the entire gamut of bilateral, regional and global issues with President Park Geun-hye and explore ways to upgrade cooperation in diversified areas.
