Child critically injured as Bomb explosion in a house of WB village

Howrah (WB) : An incident of Bomb explosion in a house at a village here on Monday. in which a a seven-year-old boy was critically injured. Local people admitted the boy to the Bagnan hospital in a critical condition, for treatment.

According to Police, "The boy was playing under the bed in the house of Israil Khan at Nowpara Bandharpur village under Bagnan police station area when a bomb kept under it exploded. People admitted the boy as he bore multiple splinter injuries all over his body."

A police contingent went to the area for an investigation, but found the room where the blast took place locked. Police did not find any resident of the house around.

This raised suspicion of the police team as it broke into the room, only to find that blood stains were carefully wiped out. It also found bomb-making materials including strings to tie up a hand bomb strewn in the room.
