WhatsApp Calling feature enabled for BlackBerry 10 users

New Delhi : Facebook-owned Android mobile messaging popular app WhatsApp which allows you to exchange messages without having to pay for SMS, has now extended its services of voice calling to Blackberry 10. The services were already extended to the Android platform a month back and recently it became available for the iOS users.

According to the reports, WhatsApp calling feature was available on the Blackberry platform for a couple of months, however only recently it has been made available for the users. But for this the user must have the beta version of this app on their phone.

The new WhatsApp comes with several other additional features such as bug fixes, location feature, improvements in the search option and a new font that highlights Blackberry OS 10.3 tune.

With the rollout of WhatsApp for BlackBerry version 2.12.12, WhatsApp can now be used by all BlackBerry users for making VoIP calls to their friends and contacts for free. The feature will be available to BlackBerry users even if they are in another country, provided that they are on Wi-Fi, not a cellular network.

Ever since Facebook has taken over WhatsApp, new features have been introduced in this app and voice calling is one such major addition. The voice calling feature was introduced to Android platform in March and this month, it was rolled out to iOS users. After BlackBerry 10, Windows Phone users are touted to be the next.
