Earthquake Tremors felt today in Punjab and Haryana

Chandigarh : After the 7.9 Richter Scale earthquake which hits Nepal on Saturday, the fresh tremors were felt in many of the parts in Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh on Sunday. The aftershocks were felt near about 12:43 pm and it was felt around a few seconds.

Authorities in both the states said that there were no reports of any loss of life or damage to property. Unlike on Saturday, the tremors of earthquake in Nepal, which were felt in Delhi-NCR and many parts of the country, experienced also in the two states and their common capital Chandigarh were mild.

Notably, the powerful earthquake shake has been felt in entire of North India including Delhi-NCR and in Nepal. A high-intensity quake measuring 7.9 on the Richter scal, according to the U.S. Geological Survey, rocked many parts of East and North India, including Delhi on Saturday.
