Earthquake kills a girl and seven others injured in Rajasthan
Bharatpur : The 8-year-old girl was killed and seven others children were injured in a fresh aftershock of earthquake at Nadbai area of Bharatpur district in Rajasthan. An aftershock measuring 6.7 on the Richter scale jolted parts of India on Sunday and the girl died when a temporary shed collapsed.
The children who were enjoying their day off from the school, as playing in a portion of their house when it collapsed over fresh aftershock of earthquake. It's believed to be first causality in tremors that ripped through northern Rajasthan over the past two days.
The Bharatpur Superintendent of police Rahul Prakash said, "The deceased eight year old girl was yet to be identified, while injured kids were rushed to the nearby hospitals in Nadbai by their parents." A rescue team of cops went from Nadbai to take stock of the situation, he said.
