Blessed to be receiving 'Deenanath Mangeshkar Award' : Anil Kapoor

Mumbai : Bollywwod's veteran actor and also producer, Anil Kapoor who has appeared in many Bollywood films and more recently international films, was conferred the Pandit Dinanath Mangeshkar Award on the occasion of the death anniversary of songstress Lata Mangeshkar's father.

"I have received national and few international awards in my career so far, but this award is special, in fact, priceless for me," the National Award winning actor said here at the ceremony on Friday.

"#blessed to be receiving 'The Deenanath Mangeshkar Award' & meeting our debonair CM of Maharashtra @Dev_Fadnavis." Anil Kapoor said in a tweet.

"This is because I don't think I am a deserving candidate for this award. I am still a newcomer," he added.This was the 73rd edition of the awards. Apart from Anil, actor Dilip Prabhalkar was also conferred with the honour.

Meanwhile, Lata Mangeshkar gave a miss to the event because of her ill health. Last year, the award was given to Bollywood actor Rishi Kapoor and musician Zakir Hussain.

Fashionista Sonam Kapoor was also recently spotted with her daddy cool Anil Kapoor at the Deenanath Mangeshkar Awards 2015. The gorgeous diva opted for a traditional look for the function and wore a gold lehenga to support and cheer her father Anil Kapoor.
