PM Narendra Modi launched 'Soil Health Card' scheme in Rajasthan

Suratgarh (RN1): Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched centrally-sponsored nationwide “Soil Health Card” (SHC) scheme for farmers at a function held today in Suratgarh Nagar Palika ground in Rajasthan.

He said In his speech on this occasion that, 'Water is the gift of God for us and if we waste it then it's a big sin.' The Prime Minister said that, when he was CM of Gujarat, he were provide the Narmada water to Rajasthan also. 

PM said that his aim is to change the workings and old system of government. At the time of launching the National Soil Health Card, he said that, 'Farmers across the country to benefit from the scheme is the motive of the government.

The program was organized by the Ministry of Agriculture and Agriculture Minister Radha Mohan Singh was the chairperson of program. While, Kalyan Singh the Governor of Rajasthan and Vasundhara Raje the CM of Rajasthan were also present here.

Under the scheme, the Central Government will provide Soil Health Card to 14 crore farmers of India within the next three year and Farmers will be able to check the soil of agricultural land. Farmers will also get the facility of use compost, accordingly the cropping, through this scheme.
