'Young friends' to vote in record numbers : PM Modi

New Delhi : Prime Minister Narendra Modi asked to voters of Delhi with Delhi Assembly Polls, especially the youth, to go out and vote in record numbers, he urged the voters to exercise their franchise in large numbers.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi told on micro-blogging site Twitter, he wrote in hindi language in a twitt, "Mera Nivedan hai ki aaj Delhi Ke sabhi matdata record sankhya me matdaan karen, Vishesh roop se yuva matdataon se badi sankhya me matdaan karne ka anordh.

He wrote in another twitt, "As Delhi votes today, urging voters to go out & vote in large numbers. I particularly call upon my young friends to vote in record numbers.'

Polling is underway for the 70-member Delhi Assembly polls. The voting began at 8 am at over 12,000 polling stations. Over 1.33 crore voters are eligible to exercise their franchise. About 673 candidates are in the fray in the contest.
