Arvind Kejriwal will swear tomorrow for CM of New Delhi, President appointed

New Delhi : President of India Pranab Mukherjee today appointed to Arvind Kejriwal who is the Supremo of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), as the Chief Minister of National capital New Delhi. Kejriwal will swear tomorrow in oath-ceremony at Ramlila Maidan.

The appointment of Kejriwal will into effect from the date (February 14) he is sworn in. Also, President's rule in Delhi will be revoked on Saturday after President Pranab Mukherjee tonight signed an order in this effect.

"I, Pranab Mukherjee, President of India hereby revoke the Order issued by me on the 16th day of February, 2014 under Article 239AB of the Constitution in relation to the National Capital Territory of Delhi, with effect from the 14th day of February, 2015," according to a gazette notification issued.

For the security reason for Oath Ceremony of Arvind Kejriwal as CM, Multiple agencies, from Delhi Police to Public Works Department are working in tandem to secure the venue.

According to sources, The Ramlila Madan, which served as the battleground for the 46-year-old anti-graft crusader during the Anna Hazare-led India Against Corruption movement, is also getting decked up to host Kejriwal for his second oath-taking ceremony.

Security personnel drawn from ITBP, CRPF, CISF, SSB and Delhi Police have been deployed at the venue.
