Amazon becomes online shopping Partner of IRCTC for 2 year

New Delhi : The public sector enterprise under the Ministry of Railways and largest travel and ticketing site of India Indian Railways Catering & Tourism Corporation (IRCTC), has joins hands with Electronic commerce company Amazon and appointed to Amazon.in as its official shopping partner for next two years to provide convenient online shopping experience to customers.

Customers who access the IRCTC portal can now buy products ranging from consumer electronics, books, shoes, apparel, bags to toys, exotic food products, personal hygiene products, pet supplies, musical instruments and many more, at the click of a button and benefit from Amazon.In's wide distribution network.

"The tie-up will give crores of our travellers and customers the joy of an easy and convenient shopping experience on www.Amazon.In as we have made the online shopping site as our preferred partner for a period of two years," a senior IRCTC official said.

The tie up would give IRCTC's consumer base, over 21 million, access to shop at Amazon directly. IRCTC and Amazon.in's shopping gateway will be promoted across its websites and will be present on all platforms--computers or mobile phone.

A link will be provided on the IRCTC site to Amazon.In for customers interested in buying such products.
