IIHMR University conducts a study tour for Department of Social Work

Jaipur : Healthcare research institutions IIHMR University, organized an orientation program that included a study tour for students of Social Work from Tilak Maharashtra Vidyapeeth, Pune. 

Dr. Vivek Bhandari, Professor, IIHMR University said, “We are delighted to conduct this orientation visit of students from Tilak Maharashtra Vidyapeeth to our campus. This visit was conducted to expose students of Social Work and allow them to interact with people to broaden their outlook and widen their spectrum. 

He said, The objective of this orientation was to enable students to meet eminent personalities from the field of rural management, interact with them, learn from their experiences and methods, know-how of work done in critical situations and understand research done by scholars/ NGOs/ Social Scientists etc.”

Speaking about the IIHMR University, Dr. Bhandari said, “We at IIHMR University offer an education program under the name MBA in Rural Management which comes with multiple specializations.

The Orientation concluded with key aspects being discussed by Mr. Ved Arya, Development Practitioner and Mr Mr. Ajay Dandekar, Professor and Head, Department of History from the Shiv Nadar University, Delhi on, role of Rural Management and need for community development, Opportunities and Challenges for Rural Management personnels, Collaborative Links between Rural Management and the Government for Fostering Mutual Growth and Development, Expected Changes in 2015 – 2020 & How Educational Institutions Should Gear Up to Meet the Challenges.
