'Biopic featuring Kangana, News is partly true, but it's not about Bachendri Pal'

Mumbai : Film director Hansal Mehta who made his feature film debut with ‘Jayate’ in 1997 followed by the 2000 release ‘Dil Pe Mat Le Yaar’, has confirmed that he has roped in actress Kangana Ranaut for a biopic, but it’s not about legendary mountaineer Bachendri Pal. Mehta took to Twitter to clarify details about the new project. He said :
While on the other side, According to Mirror, Kangana Ranaut will be seen essaying the role of a mountaineer in her next film. The Queen actress will play the role of a mountaineer who manages to scale one of the tallest peaks of the world.

A source reported to Mirror, "Hansal has spoken to Kangana about the film, he thinks that Kangana is ideal for the part. However, he will start developing the script only after he has finished Aligarh - another true-to-life film about a gay professor's affair with a rickshaw-puller."

Reportedly, work on the film may start in September and the project will be produced by Sandeep Singh.  The source also told Mirror that the inspiration behind the film is a real-life mountaineer so Kangana will have to undergo rigorous training.

Regarding her role in the biopic, Kangana was quoted saying to the Mirror, "I've nursed the desire to do a biopic for a long time. With a director like Hansal, it's as good as it gets!"
