SPRL’s sports tournament comes to a successful finish

Alwar : district level junior school tournament finished today, with much excitement during the prize distribution ceremony. The prizes for the various events were handed out by RB Sharma, Senior General Manager SPRL, Pathredi. A sense of achievement was palpable amongst the winners

This tournament at the Rajkiya Prathmik Vidyalya, Pathredi should help the school gain prominence in the area. The school has a strength of around 130 children as of now and with SPRL providing a dedicated teacher to the school and encouraging such tournaments, the strength of the school is likely to go up in the future. The school also hosts a playschool with around 30 children, which is a source of great strength to working village women.

Speaking about the event, Sharma said, “We have provided developmental support to the school, beside a fulltime teacher so that more children enrol in the school. Hosting this district level tournament was a part of our strategy to promote sports and to enhance the visibility for the school in the region so that more people know about it and send their children to study”.
